The multi-platinum band beloved worldwide have been staying busy during quarantine with Facebook Livestreams along with their #SelfieCamJams, performing deep cuts and fan favorites from their homes, even bringing in surprise guests. They have done 23 to date, including a family-fun “Snacktime” #SelfieCamJam for kids of all ages. Many familiar faces made a special appearance to share their favorite snack, like Sarah McLachlan, Tom Greene, KT Tunstall, The Count, and Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish, who Barenaked Ladies toured with in 2019.  The full SelfieCamJam series is featured on BNL’s playlist here: YouTube

The band also teamed up with Michael Bublé and Sofia Reyes for a timely single “Gotta Be Patient,” with all proceeds to be donated to various charities. Proceeds for Barenaked Ladies will go to Cultural Survival which provides indigenous communities rights and cultures worldwide. The video for the track can be viewed HERE.

BNL’s extensive 2020 touring plans are postponed until 2021. This includes a headline tour of the UK and their Last Summer On Earth tour of North America with Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket.  This will be the 6th edition of their Last Summer On Earth tour, following last summer’s critically-acclaimed shows with Hootie & the Blowfish. Some of their previous guests have includedCracker, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Blues Traveler, Guster, Ben Folds Five, Violent Femmes, Colin Hay, OMD, Howard Jones, Better Than Ezra, and KT Tunstall. All tickets for the original shows remain valid, including VIP packages.  Tickets for the newly added Newcastle show will go on sale next Friday, July 31st with a VIP presale Wednesday July 29th.

“I am sorry to have to do this but the tour for 2020 has been necessarily postponed to Fall of 2021. For the safety of our fans, venue staff and our crew it was unavoidable. We were able to add one more show to kick off the tour in Newcastle. Boothby Graffoe will still join us for every show along with KT Tunstall for the final show at the Albert Hall on October 31st. That’s Halloween and there may be costumery involved!” – Ed Robertson

Barenaked Ladies announce the postponement of their extensive 2020 Last Summer On Earth tour of North America until 2021. The tour was originally set to kickoff next month in Florida. Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket will join Barenaked Ladies with the original lineup for the new dates next year.

Vocalist/guitarist Ed Robertson shares, “We were really hoping we’d be able to pull it off this summer, but for the safety of our fans, all the venue staff, bands and crew, we need to listen to best advice and postpone until next summer. We’ll be back with the same lineup in almost all the same venues in 2021. We hope to see each and every one of you then. Be safe. Continue to Rock, and don’t forget to Roll.”

Tickets purchased for 2020 will remain valid for 2021. Check the routing and contact the original point of purchase for any questions. Unfortunately the shows in Houston, San Diego, St Louis and Pittsburgh were not able to be rescheduled so please contact point of purchase for a refund. Today, multi-platinum rock band Barenaked Ladies announce their extensive Last Summer On Earth tour of North America in 2020. Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket will round out the incredible lineup.

“We’re looking forward to getting back out on the Last Summer On Earth tour,” vocalist/guitarist Ed Robertson shares. “Having Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket out with us is going to be a blast. That’s a LOT of hits per night!”

The tour will find Barenaked Ladies playing major venues all across North America, including stops at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Red Rocks, SummerStage in New York City and more, with the tour finale at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage, with special guest Kim Mitchell also on the bill. These dates follow their string of shows in the spring throughout the UK, which will culminate with a sold-out show at London’s legendary Royal Albert Hall.

VIP packages for Barenaked Ladies will be available which include premium seats and merch packages. The Gold packages will include pre-show soundcheck parties and meet-and-greet.

The band just launched Barenaked Bytes, the official Barenaked Ladies app. The app will have news, information, and merch. Fans who download the app will have first access to tickets and VIP packages starting January 21st at 10am local time, with the purchase of a Barenaked Bytes bundle. Each ticket purchased will include a digital download of Barenaked Ladies’ forthcoming album, which is due for release in May of 2020. VIP packages and album digital downloads may not be available in all venues.

BNL (vocalist/guitarist Ed Robertson, drummer Tyler Stewart, keyboardist Kevin Hearn and bassist Jim Creeggan) recently completed a hugely successful summer tour of North America alongside Hootie & the Blowfish, a tour that Billboard Live Summit recently honoured as “Tour of the Summer”.  Ed Robertson says of the upcoming shows: “We’re excited to be returning to the UK, one of our favourite places to tour”.
