We have partnered once again with our good friends at Rooster Teeth to make the video for “Say What You Want”, the first single off our upcoming album SILVERBALL out June 2nd!

We’ve been pals with the RoosterTeeth folks for over a decade now. I’ve lent my voice to Red Vs Blue (As Capt Butch Flowers), starred in a short series they produced (Capt Dynamic for the City of Heroes spots), and they created custom videos for a BNL tour many years ago. They are incredibly talented, and funny. It’s super nice to get the opportunity to work with your friends. Especially when your friends have a kick ass production studio. We are both big fans of what the other does, so when we get to do it together, it’s awesome!

We are so happy to be working with Rooster Teeth again, this time for the music video for “Say What You Want”. Stay tuned for the official music video coming soon!

Barenaked Ladies have announced a major 20 date cross-Canada tour in support of their upcoming album SILVERBALL available June 2. The tour featuring special guest Alan Doyle kicks off October 19 in Prince George, BC and wraps up November 21 in Ottawa, ON. Every ticket purchased for Canadian show dates include a digital download of Silverball delivered on June 2. Tickets will be onsale May 1st at 10:00am local time.

The band moved at warp speed recording tracks for this new album – Take a look behind the scenes of how “SILVERBALL” was made….

“SILVERBALL” is out June 2nd

“I think it would be fair to say if the band was collectively known as Stella, then this record would indicate the reality that Stella had indeed got her groove back! This is the first record since our debut, Gordon that was written with no hand-wringing, second-guessing, insecurity or self-doubt,” states Ed.

Available on June 2nd, SILVERBALL was produced by the band’s longtime friend Gavin Brown (The Tragically Hip, Metric) who helmed their previous project, 2013 Grinning Streak. The album’s thirteen tracks showcase the band’s growth, while still delivering a flurry of counterpunches and a wisecrack or two, in true BNL fashion.

“We’re pushing in new directions—as always, I think—but it’s still unmistakably these four guys playing together, and that’s what I’m most proud of,” Robertson adds. “I put the record on and it doesn’t sound like anything we’ve ever done before, and yet it is unmistakably the new Barenaked Ladies record.”
